He pick up the flowers and made his trek to Marceline's Place. Marceline had finished talking to Finn, and got ready. She had a shower, slipped on her dress, which was black and red and clung to her body and showed off her feminine features very well. She did her make up and went downstairs. As she climbed down the ladder.
She heard a knock at the door and the very distinct scent of Finn's blood. She ran to the door and saw Finn standing there. I got you some tulips. I can smell the blood on the flowers. It's so thoughtful Finn. Marceline smiled and took it "Let's" she said and the couple went off into the night. They made it to a restaurant that was popular in OOO. Everyone who was dating went there. As Marceline and Finn enter. The whole restaurant began to murmur 'Finn's dating Marceline' and other things like that.
The couple just kept ignoring the murmurs and continue with the date.
Although she had a her exterior, a mask, the vampire did have a heart underneath it all, and it certainly was beating faster than normal. Marceline idly scratched the back of her neck, floating higher out of Bubblegum's grasp until finally their fingers became unhitched. She circled the vaulted ceiling, perching herself midair above the bed. Was it the shouting? She didn't want her staring to be too blatant, but she at least had an excuse.
All the princess could think about doing was holding her. She wanted the vampire, but she was waiting for the opportunity. She could just feel it gnawing at her, almost like a flea. We never hang out like earlier anymore. Her long dark hair swooped down near the foot of the bed as she lay just inches out of reach, plucking away at her guitar.
She wasn't playing an actual song, just whatever came to her fingers. Nobody is allowed in this room besides Peppermint Butler, anyway, he's away. You never do that for me. And I would if you were to look at me. She was so close, just an extend of the hand.
The desire to touch just burned in her blood. Bubblegum would've died to do that, the urge was eating her alive. Where did all of this self control come from? Perhaps they could both work on a project together?
It had been years since they last did any work, doing some would mean spending more opportunities together. Even if Princess Bubblegum was too afraid to ever make an advance on her friend, she wouldn't want to screw up their friendship again.
It had been years before they had rekindled any friendship, let alone their romantic relationship. What if Marcy didn't feel the same way as she did? The dress she wore tumbled downwards on her shoulders, having been unbuttoned and unzipped from behind. She stepped out of it, her white under garnets quite form fitting to her petite frame. Taking in an inhale, her fingers hooked along the bottom of the shirt, shimmying the thin fabric up her torso; when at her breasts she cupped them momentarily, giving a quick squeeze.
Her thoughts couldn't have been any louder: The shirt was lift from her head, and her underwear slipped down her legs, being tossed aside. She was naked, praying that the other woman had noticed. If their positions had been reversed, she knew she wouldn't be able to fight the temptation to sneak a quick glance. Grabbing the shirt taken from the Door Lord, she pulled it down over her head, and a pair of pyjama shorts; stepping back I the bed, she climbed under the blankets.
Her head was facing away, eyes closed. The only explanation would be that she had looked! A blush creeped it's way onto her already pink cheeks as she fiddled with the blankets over her legs. I thought you were gonna to tell me about your project. Well, it's incase I fall asleep, I am tired. Her stare felt heavy, like it was pinning her down, holding her still. Bubblegum's breathing caught in her throat before she cleared it gently, and began her speech about her current project.
Hours passed since Bubblegum began speaking, occasionally Marceline would ask a question which would spur on another wild idea, getting the princess riled up to get back to work rather than rest and sleep. The idea of sleeping was far from her mind as the words flowed endlessly from her mouth, through her beautifully full lips. Her voice filling the room, filling Marceline's soul; the words were meaningless and empty, but the sounds.
She couldn't stand the feeling, knowing that the princess didn't want anything to do with her. Once in a while the princess said something funny, the tiredness having set in to the point where she'd giggle every other sentence from her lips. Marceline had a grin hidden under her arms which were folded over her face to block out the bedroom's light, but not blocking her vision of watching the other girl.
It was like they had forgotten all of their problems and all of the responsibilities of being rulers of their kingdoms. Gossip ensued after an hour or two, followed by various stories of different adventures.
Time stood still, although the stars above head were moving. Marceline certainly wanted this evening to last forever, or at least much longer than possible. At one point, Bubblegum had started yawning endlessly, exhaustion fleeted through her body.
She was tired, ready to drop off to sleep any second. This made Marceline's heart cringe, she didn't want to make the journey home, not yet, they had been having such a nice time if she would ever admit to that. A finger extended from her hand, pushing the few fallen bangs off of the princesses forehead.
A soft murmur split her lips, but not one of protest. It wasn't any words, actually, just a sound. A soft, quiet sound. Marceline's finger draw it's way down her cheek, along the jaw until pressing to her lips, stopping the noises.
Bubblegum looked so innocent in her sleep, frankly she was. The vampire rolled over her, lips pressing to the soft skin where she had just moved the hair away.
She'd give anything to stay this way, kissing the princess, even if it was just her forehead. Pulling away, she readjusted the blankets to tuck her in, and floated backwards a few feet, peering over her. It wasn't long before the princess turned to face where the vampire had just been laying, and reach her arm out to find no one.
Groaning quietly, her eye peered open just a crack to see no one until she turned to lay on her back. They stared each other down. Did she hear the princess correctly? I can't explain it. Finn turned to Jake. Phoebe may be a princess, but she seems like a laid back girl who doesn't care about being fancy or that jazz.
Just be yourself man. Finn blushed in annoyance and headed out the door. As soon as Finn was gone, Jake pulled out his cellphone and called Marceline telling her that Finn was on his way to the Ice Kingdom. The young princess was wearing a light orange crop top with a hood, orange-red pants and dark red shoes. Phoebe smiled with confidence. Outside the castle Finn was arriving. The young hero was nervous. This would be his first real date with a girl as a couple. Finn couldn't understand his nervousness.
He had faced all kinds of danger without batting an eyeball, expect for that one time involving the ocean, but now he felt terrified and unsure. Finn considered heading back to the tree fort, when Simon walked out of the castle. I was like that when I first met Betty. I wasn't more then a few years older then you, when first I asked Betty out on our first date. I remember being nervous and I considered not asking Betty out, but then I did ask her out.
I was brave for twenty seconds and I managed to ask Betty on a date and she said yes. You see Finn twenty seconds might not seem like a long time, but amazing things can happen in that short amount of time. Sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery and I promise something great will come of it.
You just have to take a chance. Simon leaned in close and began whispering.
Women are just about as nervous about asking guys on a date or expressing their feelings to them. They just do a little better job of not showing their nervousness. Now go see Phoebe, she likes you a lot and it's rude to keep a lady waiting. Finn entered the living room and found Betty there. Phoebe is with Marceline and Lucinda, she'll be down in a little bit. Finn took a seat on a couch and waited. A few minutes later Phoebe came down with Marceline and Lucinda.
Finn stood up and smiled at Phoebe.
The princess smiled back. Finn took a deep breath and thought about what Simon told him. Finn headed towards Phoebe. Finn smiled feeling braver and more confident. The young couple headed out the door. Marceline, Lucinda, and Betty watched them them head west. Jake suddenly appeared and climbed in through a window. I'm curious to see how this goes. I don't want you sneaking up on them and sending Jake to whisper crazy relationship advice in either Finn or Phoebe's ears.
Let them figure out what to do and let their relationship develop on its own. Simon entered the living room and watched them fly off. Finn took Phoebe around Ooo and showed her around the local villages. The young hero then told Phoebe about some of his adventures and that impressed Phoebe.
They were walking through some woods when Finn asked how Phoebe had heard of him. When I was little my mom passed away after I was born, my father the Flame King was fearful of my safety, he feared someone would hurt me to get to him, so he gave me to Simon to be raised in the Ice Kingdom. Simon and Marceline kind of became my family growing up and Simon made me this special pendent to help control my powers so I wouldn't burn anything by accident.
Everything was going good, until on my sixth birthday we went to a festival in the Candy Kingdom. I got separated from Marceline and encountered a tiny cat and a strange figure wearing a mask and a red cloak.
They took my pendent away and threw a strange dust into my face. I knew I was full of fear and I started Marceline and Simon managed to get the pendent back on me and calmed me down, luckily no one was hurt.
After that incident my father was summoned to the Candy Kingdom by Princess Bubblegum. They grabbed me and put me in a giant lantern that Bubblegum had constructed, she claimed my power was to dangerous and that I shouldn't roam free.
